Daisy Chain Fields doubles its $10 million fundraiser for women and girls
Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival has secured $20 million for 10 nonprofits supporting women and girls. The Irvine, California, event initially generated $10 million, before philanthropist Melinda French Gates made a matching commitment through Pivotal that doubled the total. Organizers said the money will be divided equally among the partner groups.
The recipients are Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center and Planned Parenthood.
Together, their work spans maternal and reproductive health, Indigenous community health, legal advocacy, assistance for survivors of gender-based violence, essential supplies for families in poverty and workplace protections for domestic workers. The funding offers the organizations flexibility to address urgent and under-resourced needs.
The festival also gave attendees opportunities to meet nonprofit teams and learn about their work through information booths and activities. Its women-led musical lineup brought together artists and audiences from several generations, extending the event’s impact beyond fundraising. Daisy Chain Fields builds on Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good initiative, which previously directed $2.5 million from her Guts tour to organizations working on women’s rights, health and reproductive care around the world.
