These terms apply when you use the Good News Digest Android or iOS app or visit goodnewsdigest.app. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the rules of the app store through which you obtained the app.

The service

Good News Digest publishes a daily selection of concise, evidence-led stories about genuine progress. The service is provided for general information and personal use. It is not professional, medical, legal, financial or other specialist advice.

Stories and illustrations are produced with AI assistance and may contain mistakes. Important details should be checked against the original sources linked from each story.

Supporter subscription

The supporter subscription is entirely optional. It helps sustain the continuing production of the daily digest. While it is active, the app provides a new editorial cat or dog illustration with each published digest as a thank-you. The animals alternate daily and illustrations for earlier digest dates can be viewed through the app's existing calendar. It does not unlock stories or core reading features, and choosing not to subscribe does not limit access to the news.

The monthly subscription price is shown in your app store before purchase and may vary by country or region. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel it through your Apple App Store or Google Play account before the end of the current billing period. The store will give any notice and seek any consent required for price changes.

Billing, cancellation, refunds and payment disputes are handled under the applicable app store's terms. You can restore an eligible purchase or open subscription management from the app's About screen. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Supporter illustrations are generated with AI assistance and may occasionally be delayed or unavailable. Access to them continues only while the subscription is active. This does not affect access to any published digest or story.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• interfere with, overload or attempt to bypass the security of the service;
• use automated access in a way that disrupts the service or ignores published controls;
• misrepresent Good News Digest content as your own or remove source attribution; or
• use the service unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights.

Availability and responsibility

We may update, suspend or discontinue parts of the service, although we aim to keep the daily digest reliably available. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy and changes

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. We may update these terms when the service, subscription or legal requirements change. The revised terms and updated date will be published here, with material changes highlighted where appropriate.
